The Arc has released a statement regarding the draft legislation for Health Care reform that is now being considered in the Federal House of Representatives. According to the Arc, “This legislation ends Medicaid as we know it … hav[ing] a dire impact on the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.” This could drastically limit people’s access to Music Therapy services in the state, as it would most likely decrease federal funding for Music Therapy.
